最初のコレクションは、創業者が生まれ育った京都から始まります。着想の源となったのは、西陣織の最高峰とも称される「西陣爪掻本綴織」。ARCELFは、工房に広がる風景や技術、そして職人たちの手仕事の背景にある思想へと目を向けました。
張り巡らされた経糸の緊張感。絡み合う糸や、不揃いに並ぶ巻糸。道具として削られた職人の爪。織りが生み出す繊細な光の揺らぎと、壁一面を埋め尽くす無数の糸。そうした工房に宿る美の断片をすくいとり、ジュエリーへと編集しました。
すべての作品は、日本の職人たちの手によって一点ずつ丁寧に制作されています。織の繊細な表情を金属で表現するため、何度も対話を重ねながら、時間をかけて形づくられていきます。

The collection draws inspiration from Nishijin Tsumekaki Hon Tsuzure-ori, often regarded as the pinnacle of Nishijin weaving. ARCELF turned its attention to the landscapes of the workshop, the techniques practiced there, and the philosophy embedded within the artisans' craft.
The tension of warp threads stretched across the loom. Tangled strands of silk and uneven rows of bobbins. Fingernails filed into tools by the artisans themselves. A delicate shimmer woven into the textile, and countless threads covering the workshop walls. Fragments of beauty found throughout the workshop were gathered and re-edited into jewelry.
Each piece is meticulously crafted by Japanese artisans, one by one. To translate the delicate expressions of weaving into metal, each piece takes shape through ongoing dialogue, refinement, and time.

Chaque pièce est façonnée à la main par des artisans japonais, une à une. Chacune prenant forme au fil d'un long dialogue, traduisant la délicatesse du tissage en métal.

ARCELFファウンダー。編集者、ジャーナリスト。京都で生まれ育ち、東京を拠点に活動。三宅一生での勤務経験を経てジャーナリズムの世界へ転身。VOGUE JAPANをはじめとする主要ファッションメディアやブランドプラットフォームにて、企画立案から実行までを担う。
自主プロジェクト「JAPAN MADE」では、日本各地の工房を訪ね、素材や技術、文化的背景への造詣を深める。ものづくりの美しさと、継承の難しさの両方に触れるなかでARCELFを設立。日本の伝統を現代的なジュエリーとして再解釈し、職人とグローバル市場を結びつける。
